hey i am looking to buy pro tools soon but first i want to buy and audio interface that works with logic and pro tools. or can i buy pro tools with one of there audio interfaces and then use that with logic ?

Audio interfaces without mic pres?

I hate the fact that the mic pres on my audio interface have to go to waste if I decide that I want to buy a high end external mic preamp. Is the a way to buy a good audio interface without mic pres so that I can pick out my own mic pre and save on the price of buying an audio interface?

Yeah, I know neither of these portable guitar based / audio interface / control surface / Cakewalk compatible / recording devices is available yet, but done as much research as I could and I have some questions (which may not get answered until the units our available for review), but if anyone saw them at Musikmesse, maybe you’ve got some additional information.
