Hey guys, doing a home studio upgrade on a budget and am up to eq. If you had to choose between getting the fabfilter pro-Q plugin, or getting 2 channels of presonus eq3b outboard, which way would you go? Here’s what I have so far: 2 x GAP pre 73 1 art Pro VLA II 1 art Voicechannel 1 fmr pbc-6a Lexicon Pcm 91 Echo audiofire 12 (for conversion) Presonus firestudio (for preamps only) Cheers guys

Digi 003 rack preamps compared to Presonus Eureka

How are the Digi 003 preamps compared to the Presonus Eureka? I’m going to purchase the 002 or the 003 for about 100 dollars more. I have the Presonus Eureka and wondering if i should sell it if i get the 003.

Saffire Pro 40 Install Problems

All: I just got a Saffire Pro 40. Running XP32 SP2 on Bootcamp Leopard. Tried installing Saffire Mix Control 1.5 and 2.0 – both fail with a runtime error at the end of installation: “Runtime Error at (17:243) Tried Uninstallation both 1.5 and 2.0 and both fail with a runtime error before the uninstall will work: “Runtime Error at 21:2774) I own about a dozen FW and USB interfaces – currently running PTLE, Sonar, Samplitude, Reaper, SoundForge, Logic on machine in question with MBox, RME, Presonus interfaces under both OSX and Windows – summary no problems, I know how to do these types of installs.

Upgrade from Firebox as digi in

Just looking for a few starter tips…I’ve used the Presonus Firebox for ages…initially as preamp and interface but now hooked to ART mpa Gold…the Firebox just acts like the digital in to my PC.

Preamp for singing vocals and synths

Headphone & Digi 003

I just bought a Presonus HP4 thinking that I could send all the tracks to a stereo bus and then from that bus through the outs on the digi 003 (7&8) so after I did this to make a headphone mix I put on the headphones and everything came through except it was through one ear of the headphones.
