Akai GX-4000d reel to reel, problem!

Hi, I just got this Reel to reel tape recorder, it seems to work well exept I can’t find a mic that works with it. I know the impedance is 600 ohms so I tried several mics with that spec, with an on and off button though so maybe not dynamic as it should be, it doesn’t work, I mean if I puff or shout the Vu meters reacts but badly with a scratchy low sound. I read on the manuel that the mic should be 0,25mv wich is actually hard to find, I didn’t so far

Studer A807 firmware

Hello ! Do someone have the firmware 20/92 for the A807 MK II ? The binary file would be ok. I accidently placed the eprom in the wrong position in my programmer when I tried to read it and make an backup and now the recorder works very strange.

Hi, I want to sync MTP AV (USB) with TASCAM MS-16 Multitrack Reel to Reel Recorder for transport controls and other opprtunities which are possible. I am using Logic Pro 9.1.1 and MOTU 24 I/O mk3 & MOTU 2408 mk3. Mac OS X 10.5.8 with MacPro 2,93 GHz Quad Core Nehalem, 6 GB memory.
