hey folks, i’m thinking of changing my recording setup. just now i’m using a korg tr 61 which has some fantastic sounds but i do like the setup of my “guitar rig 4″ programme for editing etc.. basically i was wondering if anyone could recommend some programmes that work in the same way, instead of guitar though obviously be using a keyboard.

44.1 to 48 to DVD

Is it possible to record in 44.1 and then after mixing, convert the stereo mix to 48khz and then master to go on a DVD (with video). Will I get degradation? I tried riping an audio CD to 44.1 than convert to 48 and did not hear any deterioration.

Mammagamma snare sound?

How was the snare drum sound achieved in Mammagamma? It sounds nice, dry and juicy at the same time. Can you go into detail which mics, compressors, etc.

i inquired about 3rd party reverb effects. the effects i have with my software (audition 3) sound mushy. some one sent a reply that they had the same problem and used delay.

Kind Of Blue Time Out I love these two albums, but I’m still lost to why they sound sonically different (the latter sounding better) even though it was recorded a few months after Kind Of Blue in the same studio! Anyone want to shed some light on this?
