I am setting up my new recording environment and plan to make some songs with MIDI orchestral backings. I am using Sonar 8 Producer Edition and would love a well-rounded vst plugin that is flexible and sounds good.

Saffire Pro 40 Install Problems

All: I just got a Saffire Pro 40. Running XP32 SP2 on Bootcamp Leopard. Tried installing Saffire Mix Control 1.5 and 2.0 – both fail with a runtime error at the end of installation: “Runtime Error at (17:243) Tried Uninstallation both 1.5 and 2.0 and both fail with a runtime error before the uninstall will work: “Runtime Error at 21:2774) I own about a dozen FW and USB interfaces – currently running PTLE, Sonar, Samplitude, Reaper, SoundForge, Logic on machine in question with MBox, RME, Presonus interfaces under both OSX and Windows – summary no problems, I know how to do these types of installs.

All, your input is very much appreciated. Please read: Problem: Need 3-track recording: vocal mic track, L channel synth track, and R channel synth track. Also need to be able to monitor them all via headphones with zero latency.
