After moving around some gear I want a good ribbon for many reasons, so I modded an Apex 205 pulled out the extra layers swapped the transformer and stuffed it with foam, sounds great, I think there might be better so Should I pull the trigger on the AEA R84 or Coles 4038 or have Joly mod 2 Apexs I like the AEA for the visual aspect, but doe it out preform these mics for Mono drum vocals and GTRS Thanks
