Cheap, get the job done Interface!

I know this has been done to death around here and, I have used the search function BUT….Nothing I have found is what I NEED so…I am asking all of you that have cheap interfaces , what one do you have and does it get the job done for you…Here is what I need..2 channel, at least one preamp channel and midi i/o..thats all I really need..oh ya, I do not want USB, I am to afraid of its latency, so firewire or PCI would be best, unless you have a USB interface that you are sure has no latency problem!! Just to let you know what I am coming from, I had to sell my M-audio 610 because of MED. bills and I really don’t want to spend $400.00 on another one! I am hoping to only spend between 2-3 hundred, I know I cant get much, but I don’t need much! Thanks for your help and also for posting something you have probably already posted a hundred time by now!! PS.
