Adding Energy and Movement

I have been having a lot of trouble adding energy and movement to my songs. I’ve heard people talk a lot about side chaining drums and I know how to side chain I just don’t think I know how to implement it effectively.

behringer truth 1030a & 1031a

I’ve been working with headphones up to now, but for the sake of comfort I want to get 2 active monitors. I’ve been taking a look at the new behringer models, 1030a & 1031a.
