Rewired my old cab with a new input, sounds like I have a busted speaker now. Help?

I’ve got an old Harmony 2×15x2×12 cabinet that I picked up a few months ago, and when I tried the thing out before I bought it (insanely cheap) it sounded pretty good. But, it had a built in speaker cable which was very thin, so I knew I would eventually replace it. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, I took the thing apart, stripped all the old, thin wiring, removed the speaker cable, added 16 gauge wire & installed a 1/4″ input
