hard drive info

I know the requirements that an external hard drives needs for audio production…what I’m curious about is finding one that isn’t soo damn pricey…I have the money to buy a 500 GB Glyph drive, but if I can get 2 of something else with similar quality than I’d like to go that route…any suggestions?
