This morning, a friend asked me to write a song about the BP oil spill in the gulf. For The Coast If I said I’m only one There’s not much I can do Just another wheel cog So I’m remaining aloof For there’s no way that I Can alter God’s plans Then after we’ve lost it all Will I be one of the damned? Who poisoned the seas Who polluted the air Stop our incautious slipping Remembering to take care We have to clean up our room Or we can’t go outside It gets constantly filthy With the waste of mankind It’s doesn’t make any sense To talk paper and coin When we must keep our room clean Everything done today …
