Diplacusis
May 11, 2010 Recording
i had a middle ear inflammation last week, my eustachian tube is congested, am on antibiotics…. I noticed on Sunday that my right ear (the congested one) perceives the pitch of a given sine wave nearly a quartertone higher (45%) than the other one. I tested this with a synth plugin I found out that ‘diplacusis’ is the word for this phenomenon
