Songwriters, what do you use to record vocal melodies instead of a voice?
So I’m working on some tracks to pitch to artists and working on finalizing them to pass onto a local singer who records her voice in the style of the artist.

Drum sounds for modern pop (Anything but rock)
May 6, 2010 Recording
So I already have Addictive Drums for rock, but looking for some new drum sound (with loops/patterns) for the style of modern pop. Think anything from hip hop, Ke$ha to Katy Perry/Pink whatever. It’s for writing and pitching to artists so I’m not looking for purist sounds.

Mixing on the desk, does, donts and how-tos.
May 5, 2010 Recording
I wanted to start (again of course) a quick discussion on the does and donts of mixing on a console. This is not an opinion peace, we all know DAWs have there advantages and the last thing I want to start is another debate on whether mixing in-the box is awful or great and how it compares to out-of-the box.
