Pre-amp for shure sm 7b
May 9, 2010 Recording
Hey folks! First of all, I have to thank everybody on the board who’s helped me to make my decision towards a decent studio microphone for the sake of brevity and my future recordings ;D Now, I’m looking for a pre-amp that’s gonna make good use both of the sm 7b and rode nt1-a.

need quick help:AT4050 or Shure KSM32?
Hello everyone, I’ve just got a great offer for both mics second-hand and for almost the same price.I own an SM7b (loving it) and an AT4040 (great sound but nothing special compared to the SM7) and an ISA One also gonna get a GAP Pre73 pretty soon. I am mainly recording rap and rnb and reggae vocals. Sometimes accoustic guitar but that’s occasionally.(the AT4040 is great for accoustic guitar) I have to make my decision until monday so I would greatly appreciate your opinions to which mic you would suggest from these two for rap and rnb-reggae vocal recordings.confoosedkfhkh

Patchbays—
May 7, 2010 Recording
I need a new patchbay for my studio; I currently have a few bittree patchbays and also have the patchbay built into our VR, but I started to wonder what the pros/cons there were of using TT or 1/4″ TRS? Is it just a matter of size?
