Monitors for listening to music?

I am looking to finally get a decent pair of monitors, and since i have protools on the same computer as everything else such as my itunes, i was wondering if i could set it up so my itunes will play through my mbox through the monitors. Is this a common thing to do?

Acoustic nightmare!

Hi guys, I’m just launching my new studio and its opening in about 10 days hidz However, I seem to be struggling with the acoustics in my room. The control room is a large rectangle with angled ceilings meeting at a point in the middle. (probably about 30 m2 room size) The front wall where my monitors are have windows all along the front wall (believe this may be a problem)

Apogee Minime as sound card?

Good morning y’all! I just bought my first pair of decent-grade studio monitors, so its time for me to step my game up with the sound output on my laptop. As I was looking around for soundcards with D/A conversion, I found that my Apogee MiniMe (USB version), which has been collecting dust all this time, has fine converters.
