May 11, 2010 Recording
Hi, I’ve been using m-audio profire 2626 for a while and just sold it due to 610/2626’s unstable latency issue and 2626’s bsod issue. Now I’m looking for a new interface that is capable of -Low latency -Great ad/da conversion and sound quality -Good Preamp -Stable and reliable driver I’ve done some research and found two interfaces focusrite saffire pro 40 tc electronics impact twin Any ideas of there two interfaces or any other recommendations??

Best I/O Option For My System?
May 6, 2010 Recording
So I have one of these XPC C2 I’m shopping for a new interface and it had’nt even occured to me to consider the PCI and optical SPDIF I/O on my computer. I just assumed I would be looking for a new firewire interface. Are there options I should be considering given my PCs features?

USB or Firewire
May 5, 2010 Recording
quick question..I will be needing to get a new interface down the road because I had to sell EVERYTHING..SO…..do you think firewire is faster (latency wise) than USB…I have had USB rigs in the past and they always seemed slow with lots of latency, I never had that problem with firewire, but a lot of the interfaces I see today are USB and I like a lot of them, he only thing that would stop me is that they are USB..am I nuts? Is usb better tody than they were with the first mbox?
