my cpu is hitting 120%. need help

So here’s my situation: I’m running Ableton on a 4 year old Pentium Dual Core with 2Gig of ram. My CPU is seriously overloaded! A typical track for me will have between 50-60 parts, and the bogging down occurs around the 30 part mark.

Hi, i’ve been reading you guys for some months but never posted anything, never had a question, problem, or advise! Now my situation is the following: Budget: 5000 € +/- 6000 – 6500 US$ what I have: Logic 9, Tannoy Reveal 6d, Saffire Pro 24 and lots of softsynths 2 days ago, my mom, girlfriend and best friend went crazy and gave me for my birthday and my promotion at my day job all this, all and every single thing out of their pocket (damn I love’em so much ;P) Virus Ti2 – PROPHET 08 – Little Phatty – Neumann M147 now i’m not even sure I want/need all that, I think I cannot handle all of these yet.
