How to get a stadium choir effect?
May 8, 2010 Recording
..except for the obvious choice (getting a stadium choir, that is heh) There’s lots of records that have the background vocals sung with a stadium-like sounding choir (e.g. Elbow, Travis), and I just can’t imagine they actually went out beforehand with new material and taught a stadium crowd to sing it in the right tempo, key, etc.

Connecting mixer to my PC.
May 7, 2010 Recording
Greetings, First of all, I’m new to this forum, and I thought I’d register since I’m in the middle of gathering equipment and setting up my recording studio in my room
I went through my dads stash and found a Mixim 10 mixer, which is rather compact and seems perfect for my use, since it has phantom power for the new condenser microphone I’m going to buy after I get some help from you guys setting it up on my computer
I’ve successfully managed to connect the mixer with my Crown Powertech 3 amplifier, but after trying it out a few times I figure it’s too big and too much pwoer to use in my small little room . So, I decided to use the mixer as a pre-amp for my microphone instead. I did manage connect the mixer to the computer with my Behringer XM1800S microphone, but I had this signal in the background whenever I did recording so I don’t know whether I did something wrong or what ti might be :laughings: My computer specs are as follows: CPU: Intel Core i7 (2.66GHz) Sound Card: ASUS Xonar DX RAM: 6gb Mixim 10 Manual: http://www.devicemanuals.com/guide/A…lRreE5UST.html Note: If this is in the wrong section, please feel free to move this post, but please PM me the new destination
