Connect Digidesign RM-1 digitally
May 8, 2010 Recording
Hi all, I have a pair of the Digidesign/PMC RM-1’s and a MOTU 2408MK3, I am currently using the speakers via analog monitor out on the 2308, how would I go about connecting then digitally (they have a digital XLR and two ethernet ports? on the rear) I have never used digital to power speakers before, is there any benefits to it? Thanks in advance

May 8, 2010 Recording
Hello all! Can anyone direct me to useful sites/posts that address Motu’s Cuemix (for an ultralite Mkii) and usage with Reaper. I have a novice’s grasp of the Motu software

Motu Gain Staging
May 8, 2010 Recording
Sorry if this is not the best place for this question…but I’m stumped. I have a UA 710 mic pre going directly into a Motu Ultralite. When the UA’s output level is showing 0 (unity gain), the Motu’s Q-Mix meter shows -9ish.
