Transferring MIDI drum loops into sequencer
May 11, 2010 Recording
Hi there, I’m a novice recordist just trying to find my way around the MIDI realm, and had what may be an obvious question. I’ve been using EZDrummer as a sequencer/sound source (with Cubase 4, Macbook Pro), and recently acquired a bunch of third-party MIDI loops (IK Multimedia, Prosonic)

About to build a new DAW PC
May 7, 2010 Recording
Hey guys, just wondering if the computer I am about to put together will be a worthwhile. I have built pc’s before but have been out of the loop in regards to all the new technology of the last 7 years so am I bit unsure of what goes with what now. The parts I have picked all seem to go together but I could do with some advice just for peace of mind so I am not ordered things which won’t work together! It does’nt need to be the fastest machine in the world, just relatively quiet and powerful enough to cope with some home recording…usually around 30 tracks per song
