Ensoniq midi SySex expert, pulling samples off roms
May 10, 2010 Recording
I would like to pull all the sounds off the zr76 and use it in an asrx ( which has the same synthesizer engine built in but only 1/10th the sounds given in the ram) It makes sense why ensoniq would only include some sounds on the asrx because they still wanted the rack version to sell, nonetheless it should be possible to put all the sounds from that onto the asrx through floppy or scsi.

panning 2 mono leads to make it stereo
May 10, 2010 Recording
Hi, i’m learning to pan my tracks, but i’m not sure if i do the right panning with my head/lead sounds or strings. I know that you have to give all the sounds there own space.

Southern California Analog Artist Collective/Label? (Valerie)
May 10, 2010 Recording
Hey fellow synth nerds, I am starting a southern California based collective/label with leanings toward minimal lo-fi analogue music … Think something like Valerie except stateside.

Fruity Loops Problem
May 9, 2010 Recording
So i just got this new neptunes drum kit. & some of the sounds don’t work in fl studio. They play in media player & everywhere else but when i load them into fruity loops all i get is a click sound on the step sequencer instead of my sample

Good mix that has potential to be loud
May 9, 2010 Recording
Hello, I am a mix and recording engineer who still has a lot to learn. About 30% of my mixes are as loud as todays standard, but others are not. I’m starting to think that my mixes are not so always good for MEs to make loud…

Question on MIDI and Audio
May 8, 2010 Recording
hi, Sorry if the question may sound too amateur but here it is. I want to record midi from my analog modeling synth to my computer because I am not a good keyboard player and would like to do some editing.

Decision Making for Better Mixes
May 7, 2010 Recording
I think this is a great video illustrating the need to make decisions that will allow for a better final mix. As a mixing engineer I all too often get a session with way too many sounds to deal with and the producer always want me to keep his sounds! Luckily a good producer knows that there is a limited amount of frequency real-estate and wont crowd a piece of music just because you have hundreds of tracks. http://www.artistshousemusic.org/vid…limited+tracks
