panning 2 mono leads to make it stereo
May 10, 2010 Recording
Hi, i’m learning to pan my tracks, but i’m not sure if i do the right panning with my head/lead sounds or strings. I know that you have to give all the sounds there own space.

Help me with these tom toms
I am working on one of my tracks, and everything is going really well. However, my toms are not nearly as powerful as they could be.

Can anyone take Kid Rock seriously?
May 7, 2010 Recording
seems to enjoy ruining music haha ok that was abit harsh, i can appreciate the work gone into to producing the end result, just comes accross as a bit inadvertently comdeic. Oh well, not really a massive moan as i would be a liar if i said i havn’t been hammered shouting to one of his tracks in a dark room with a drink in both hands.

Not trying to piss off the mastering gods here, but while trying to get my tracks to sound louder and more transparent I found this.

Headphone & Digi 003
May 6, 2010 Recording
I just bought a Presonus HP4 thinking that I could send all the tracks to a stereo bus and then from that bus through the outs on the digi 003 (7&8) so after I did this to make a headphone mix I put on the headphones and everything came through except it was through one ear of the headphones.

Hello, I’ve just finished to “remaster” the tracks of our forthcoming cd…Since DIY Mastering is not the best thing to do, I really would like some feedback…The main problems were too much low end rumble and harsch cymbals…I know remix the tracks would have been better, but they got “lost”grrr, so I tried to fix it at the mastering stage…Does this sound good to you? Thanks for your comments/advices, Max Attached Files You are Mine MP3.mp3 (5.58 MB)
