I know this is dumb, and I have some friends in Brooklyn at the best Vintage Analog Studio on the east coast (I swear to Analogod!) Trout Recording is incredible…so incredible I just went out and bought a bunch of old R2R’s on Ebay and have to get them calibrated, fixed, and set-up properly without spending an arm and a leg. Anybody have some friends/techs in NYC that could help with a Tascam 38, TEAC 80-8, Tascam 35 Mixer/Console, and a junk Sanyo 1/4 in……I want to learn how to fix and reburbish these machines, best place for parts, (Tascam in LA?

Pop/Punk Tone Help?
Alright I’m sorta a newbie at this stuff but I’m wondering what kind of amp with a sm57 would get CLOSE to this sound…. and does anyone know any specific compression settings w/ autotune for this kind of music.

dont mention the war :facepalm: some really interesting discussion and ideas thrown around in this thread and no mention of where to obtain cracked software. no abuse of members (that i saw anyway). only truth about the now useless ilok and yet it STILL gets deleted
