Crisp & clear vocal sound
May 11, 2010 Recording
I was listening to this song today: (skip to about 32 seconds for the vocals, and go HD – better audio quality) It’s one of the clearest vocals I’ve ever heard. It’s close, yet spacious.

I got a job!
May 10, 2010 Recording
I know this is not necessarily the right place to post this, but I couldn’t figure which would be better. anyhow, I GOT A JOB!!! A few months ago, I asked a recording engineer in town who I’ve done projects in town with in the past if I could intern under him, he said yes, but it took until last week that I was actually in the studio. Half way through the sessions, he told me that, the person in control room B was going on a 5 month tour, and that he was going to rent it out to somebody and couldn’t find anybody.

Analogue Recording VS In box Vst guitar modeling
May 10, 2010 Guitar, Recording
Hello everyone , just thought I would get peoples advice about the advantages and of course disadvantages to recording guitar in the box or the more traditional way. First off , my main amp for recording is a Jsx 2×12 combo so I am not worried about the quality of the amp

What important info to look at when choosing Audio Interfaces/Mic Preamps?
May 10, 2010 Recording
Like db levels, frequency etc. Which levels, numbers should i look at to know the audio int/preamp is worth buying? Especially one which reduces background hiss/noise as much as possible when increasing the signal on a mic.

May 8, 2010 Recording
To studio quality hopefully! Im thinking of using the mic for singing (falsetto mainly) and rapping.

I have an AER Acousticube, pretty much the best acoustic amp there is.

pod x3 vs pdi-03
I’m a one-man band trying to find the best way (aka most practical and budget friendly way) to upgrade my “studio.” I’m happy with my drums, but my vox, guitar, and bass tracks are lacking. I just can’t crank an amp and I’m not satisfied going direct with bass.

I just can’t crank an amp and I’m not satisfied going direct with bass. On top of that I can’t afford a really nice preamp or acoustic treatment for recording great vox.
