Dessing A Whole .Wav

I have a mix that sounds pretty good over all, the only thing i notice that is wrong is when listening in ipod head phones, some of the “s” sound a bit harsh. I used the pro tools d esser lightly on the vocals. My question is can i run a d esser on the whole track using an ozone preset, or would I be better off just leaving the track as is?

I was listening to this song today: (skip to about 32 seconds for the vocals, and go HD – better audio quality) It’s one of the clearest vocals I’ve ever heard. It’s close, yet spacious.

Voice REverb Effect

I’m wondering how they got this effect heard here ( ie a big reverby echo) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiMDMmb_e68 Are the vocals going into the mic, then into some sort of effects processor, and then to the console? Or can something like this be done within the software well? I know garageband has “male rock” vocal effect but its pretty weak.

ruff mix of rock band advice?

this is a first ruff mix of this band I’m recording. any opinions or advice? drums were in a 14′ square room with 8″ ceilings audient asp008 were used for everything except the guitars and vocals on which i used a trident s40 mixed itb with protools plugs the vocals are scratch.

Advice on removing HF harshness from vocal

Looking for some advice on removing the harshness in the HF region of a vocal. It sounds almost like distortion, not pleasant at all. Is this the mic being pushed too hard?
