How do you wire these for running protools…

I have a Tascam DM4800 and a M-audio Profire 2626 and i want to run M-Powered Protools, now how would i route the tascam in to the profire and use the remote control daw function inside the tascam?????

Im trying to decide between the Tascam 2488 neo and the Korg D3200. I want something that is fairly easy to use but most important to me is the easiest to arrange my music on. I dont mind sub menus from hell as long as it is logically done

Hey everybody, My Tascam 488 MKII just bit the dust, and I am looking to replace it with something *shudder* digital. I really like a lot of things about this machine, but I have had too many cassette based portastudios conk out on me, and would like something smaller and more reliable.

Trying to mix to mBox2: levels too hot

Ok, this is certainly due to my ignorance in the physics department, but I could use some help: I’m mixing from my Tascam M2600 mk2 desk into a MacBook Pro with a mBox2 as the mixdown two-track (allsihad). Or better, I’m trying to. No matter what I do I get the levels too hot

I know this is dumb, and I have some friends in Brooklyn at the best Vintage Analog Studio on the east coast (I swear to Analogod!) Trout Recording is incredible…so incredible I just went out and bought a bunch of old R2R’s on Ebay and have to get them calibrated, fixed, and set-up properly without spending an arm and a leg. Anybody have some friends/techs in NYC that could help with a Tascam 38, TEAC 80-8, Tascam 35 Mixer/Console, and a junk Sanyo 1/4 in……I want to learn how to fix and reburbish these machines, best place for parts, (Tascam in LA?

Tascam 2400 does not work with Win XP running Pro Tools

I recently picked up a used Tascam 2400 controller. But i do not get this thing up running with Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 cs10 using Windows XP 32 Bit, Service Pack 3 installed mezed. I tried to set up the Tascam like a Mackie control using HUI in the setup/peripherals/midi controllers menu

Tascam US-2400 new driver developing partnership

Hello to all the Gearslutz I’ve been a Gearslutz lurker for long time and this is my first post. Well, i bought a Tascam US-2400 and i really like it, i’m already addicted and i can’t imagine to mix without it. I experienced a lot of problem to make it work properly and still i can’t use it with Ableton, since version 8 doesn’t work properly
