newfound Duet pops/interference

Hey slutz, I just bought a new external monitor for my MBP (I’ve never used an external monitor before) and I noticed my Duet started a steady but quiet pop every few seconds when recording mic line in. When I disconnect my monitor, the problem goes away.

Hey slutz, I just bought a new external monitor for my MBP (I’ve never used an external monitor before) and I noticed my Duet started a steady but quiet pop every few seconds when recording mic line in. When I disconnect my monitor, the problem goes away. I am pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with my Duet, but rather a firewire power issue that is occurring due to interference with the monitor out.

Is the Echo Audiofire still a good option?

I use a Echo sometimes when I record outside of my house, but for my at home studio I want an interface with pretty good conversion. I hav a pre already that I really like
