Microsoft Launches Bing for Mobile Android App

Microsoft is taking a step in the right mobile-searching direction with the release of their new Bing for Mobile Android application. Today Bing announced on their blog that the app was, as on right now, only available for Verizon customers and could be downloaded for free from the Verizon Android Marketplace. Even though the Verizon partnership with Google is the bigger fish when it comes to mobile search, Microsoft is not one to be left out.

Google Adds Blog-Finding Filter

Instead of just bringing up individual post containing specific keywords used in searches made by Google users, there is now a filter that brings up entire blogs pertaining to terms that you have searched for. This new blog-finding filter is not a part of the Blog Search feature, it is on the Google homepage; users only need to click on the blog option on the left-side menu and then on the bottom they will see a choice for either posts or homepages and voila! You now have the results for whole blogs dealing with whatever it is you are looking for. While this feature is not available in the Blog Search area, if you were to use it instead of the new filter it does give you a short list of “related blogs” at the top of your results
