Twitter launched Promoted Tweets in April of this year, to allow businesses to highlight ordinary tweets that they would like to reach a wider audience. These tweets appeared at the top of search results pages that have something to do with what users were looking for
As was rumored last week, Twitter has formally introduced its latest advertising option: Promoted Accounts. Promoted Accounts will show up in the “Who to follow” section of a Twitter home page, and is fully algorithmic in deciding when and which promoted accounts to display.
