Google Test Video Lightbox For Some Videos In Mobile Search Results

Google is testing a video overlay or lightbox feature to play videos in the mobile search results. In the search results captured by Valentin Pletzer on Twitter he showed how instead of being taken to the video landing page, Google shows the video itself in an overlay.

RankRanger SERP Checker Now Tracks Hotel Pack Data

You all know I am obsessed with tracking the search results (SERPs), not just the core ten blue link changes but also how the other elements come in and out of those search results. Tools like Mozcast and RankRanger, amongst others, also track Google features that are included, like videos, local listings, ads, HTTPS and so much more. Now RankRanger added hotel local packs to the mix.
