Google’s John Mueller hosted a 100 or so person pre-SMX Munich talk with SEOs and developers the other day. Valentin Pletzer was there and he shared on Twitter that John Mueller said they do plan on closing down the old Search Console, it might be by the end of this year he said.

John Mueller responded saying “The nice part about using so many factors for crawling, indexing, and ranking is that you don’t have to do everything exactly the same way as all of the other sites are doing.”
