Qatar, a small but oil-rich Middle Eastern nation, are topping Google’s search trends today, following the announcement of their successful bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Google Trends showed today. Four of the top five trending results – including one misspelling – were about the country as it overcame the United States, Australia, South Korea and Japan to become the 2022 host nation for soccer’s eminent competition
