Google Tweaks iOS Search App With Bigger Font, More Speed

Google Docs Adds Pivot Tables

Google Docs is undoubtedly a powerful tool. They were the flag-bearer in the online document creation and editing genre, and though their absolute dominance may not be permanent (at the very least Office 365 and all its online utilities will be giving it a run for its money), Google Docs continues to be an innovator in online capabilities. One of the major capabilities that has just been added is “pivot tables,” a term that should be familiar to advanced Microsoft Excel users.

Blekko Wins Over Flipboard

Those who have paid attention, with neurotic intensity, to my entries over the last few months (and why wouldn’t you?) know that I enjoy Blekko. I don’t particularly use it (it only indexes a fraction of the web, it isn’t attached to any of my other accounts, and I’m more used to finding the “right results for me” in Google, etc.), but I do like how much spirit the young company has.

Google announced on the Webmaster blog that they have removed a requirement for removing URLs via Google Webmaster Tools. Google no longer requires you to block access to the URL you want to remove from Google prior to submitted the URL removal request.
