Facebook has announced the launch of a new way to read and consume content in a way that promises to be a vast improvement over the experience found in Facebook’s mobile app. The company says web articles take an average of 8 seconds to load on Facebook’s app, which is the slowest of any single content type. In order to improve this experience for readers and publishers alike, Facebook is introducing Instant Articles — a tool that can load articles as much as ten times faster than standard mobile web articles.
